These are really interesting. Our native bluebonnets (Lupinus spp.) are coming into bloom right now, but look at their basal leaves! Their membership in the same genus is clear.
I love bluebonnets! Their blue is so much more vivid than Lupinus perennis, the lupin native to Ontario (and eastern north America). In my garden I have hybrids, in various colours, that reliably self-seed.
