‘Filamentosa’ was familiar to me, but I had to take second and third looks before I realized you’d photographed a yucca. The black and white treatment so transformed the flowers they weren’t immediately recognizable: neat!
I’m surprised by the thickness of the flower petals – they almost seem fake – and I love the creamy white colour, it’s more elegant, somehow, than the bright white of a daisy, for example.
