I really enjoy these wider-view images of this plant. The closeups so many people favor are beautiful, but they left me with a feeling that the plants were short. Not so much!
On average, I’d say trilliums are 10 – 14 inches high…there are large sections of woodland around here where the proverbial ‘carpet’ of trilliums can be seen, soaking up sunshine before the canopy above leafs out..it’s quite lovely.

We drove north from Minneapolis a couple days ago, and saw some of those proverbial carpets beside the highway. So beautiful!
