  1. Are these current photos? I’ve heard of weather swings, but my goodness! If I were up there, having seen spring beginning to emerge, I’d not be amused. On the other hand, ice-coated plants do have their own sort of beauty.

    1. Yes – taken about an hour ago. Freezing rain most of the night and yesterday…but getting warmer now. All I could hear, outside, aside from the birds, was the tinkling of ice crystals falling through the trees…

  2. Even though it looks pretty, in a unique way, that’s a sad sight. Hopefully not windy, till it has melted. Poor Snowdrops. Do you think tree buds will be all right?

    1. Aside from any broken tree branches (and there are a lot in the County, although not so much in my yard) plants and buds should be fine. The ice actually insulated a bit, I think.

    1. Freezing rain is certainly the most anxiety-producing weather for me. Of course, we don’t experience hurricanes (at least, rarely) or cyclones or tornadoes (again, at least rarely) like others in North America/the world.
