Of all the plants I wouldn’t have expected to see in your garden, this is near the top. I thought it grew only in watery locations, although I’ve never seen it growing (that I know of). I see yours is in a pot, so you may have been the source of its water. I just saw that it’s a cultivar; that might help to explain it. Anyway, the name ‘Prince Tut’ made me laugh!
LOL!! I’ve grown King Tut, it’s much larger cousin, for years (as an annual of course) – they make a statement in, yes, a large pot with watering every day. This Prince Tut is a perfect size for this pot and spot.
Cool, I’ve never seen one with seed heads before. Looks like this one is a few years old. I had one that I put in my small pond for a few years, bringing it inside in the winter, but it eventually got too big. I gave it away, I wonder if she still has it?
I bought it at a nursery – the stalks were less than a foot high but it wad in a 1 gallon pot so possibly a year old? The seed heads Are interesting eh?!
‘Prince Tut’ is very handsome!
😊
Wow, that is lovely! I haven’t seen one like that before!
It’s worth looking out for!
