6 on Saturday – 13SEP2025 – Wings

The garden has been SO BUSY for the past two weeks. All the local honey bees, wasps, hornets, other bees and butterflies seem to have found the goldenrod and sedum that have been in full bloom. Asters have just started so there will be pollen and nectar for a few more weeks. (Still not enough rain, unfortunately…) I’m joining Jim at Garden Ruminations this week with six wingy photos. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

So Many Honeybees on the Hylotelephium (Sedum) spectabile
Peek-a-boo!! I just love the yellow legs – a perfect match for goldenrod!
Some sort of bumble bee on the butterfly bush
Large garlic chive flowerheads – big enough for two!
A rather large Fritillary butterfly found the Zinnia patch
My favourite photo this week…

  1. All your photos are excellent! I took photos of Bumbles on Goldenrod this morning, too…they’re very busy! Alas, no Butterflies. Still have a Hummy here…saw 3 a few days ago.

  2. Lovely subject for SOS! Also lovely to see so many pollinators in your garden, I’ve not seen so many here due to all our rain lately, but hopefully they are still about.
