So many questions! Are the leaves edible, as well as the ‘sprouts’? Those crossbars/limbs must be to support the plants. And it looks like those white ‘thingies’ among the veggies must be where you’ve trimmed off the leaves, like those lying on the ground. The plants look like certain kinds of dessert towers at fancy buffets!
LOL! They’re growing under my tomato trellis – tomatoes are long over (just a few cherry toms still in the ground); I’ve never tried to eat the leaves but I imagine they’re much like tough cabbage leaves; yes, the whitish protusions are where I cut off the leaves. There was a lot of cabbage moth larvae damage on the older ones so this looks a lot better, and, I think they look kinda like small palm trees….or the closest I’d see to them up here anyway ๐
Happy Thanksgiving! ๐
