A Week of Flowers 2025 – If It’s Tuesday It’s June

I’m joining Cathy this week as she hosts seven days of colour to remind us of the beauty from the past spring and summer – all with the goal of making a cold and perhaps grey and snowy December a bit more bearable. I’ve been looking for flower photos that I haven’t yet shared, and came across the queen of the spring garden; she grows just outside the dining room window and is quite spectacular at the beginning of June.

  1. I grew up knowing pink, deep rose, and white peonies, but this one? If I could grow them, this would be my first choice. Lemon chiffon pie is my favorite shade of yellow (sorry, sunflowers and such!)

  2. Ah, another flower that we do not grow here. (Rambling in the Garden posted a picture of clematis, which does not perform well here.) Peonies are so enviable. I know that they ‘can’ grow here, but I rarely see them perform well.
