- About

Also such a dainty and pretty flower and a yummy sounding word.
Ha! The name nicely rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?
….and a high of 84° today, here south of Boston😳 All the tomato, basil & very small (bought) cucumber plants can now stay outside…don’t know how long I’ll be able to!
Enjoy the day!!!!!
I found a nice Morris Arboretum page that gave me a side-by-side comparison of these and snowdrops: related, but different genera. The pretty green bits on these are a great way to help distinguish them. Of course they remind me of the lily of the valley I grew up with, although those flowers are in yet a different genus. The backlighting in the first photo is perfect!
I love the backlighting too…it was an early evening shot on a sunny day. They’re quite a bit taller than snowdrops or lily of the valley of course, equally pretty, bees like them…
🤩
Beautifully captured Chris!
