Love them! 😃 I always get cup plant and compass plant confused Chris, so thanks for posting photos of both together. I have a Silphium perfoliatum and a S. mohrii and they both seem happy in our drought. (Still looking for a S. laciniatum!)
Well, I just learned something. The compass plant may be included in gardens here, but it’s not native to Texas. S. perfoliatum is more common. Our most common Silphium species is S. radula: just as tall, and equally pleasant to come across!
