Thanks! Yes, it’s a split rail zig-zag fence – fairly common here on very old homesteads and around farmland. The fenceline is totally overgrown with mature trees, some of which are now falling down, becoming woodpecker food sources. This tree has been mostly dead for a few years and came down like this in a storm this past winter.

Uh, oh! In the ‘broken’ part of the tree I see a horrified face & the part that broke off looks like a Praying Mantis walking away.
