I wouldn’t complain if we got a bit of rain, but October has been magical this year. Sunny warm days, cool nights and glowing foliage with the sun rise. This is what I’ve been looking at early mornings as I sip my coffee in the dining room.

Gorgeous autumn colour, what a view.
Wow. I can’t even recognize those. It looks like cottonwoods up high with sumac down low. That poor little blue spruce looks left out.
But the spruce (a memory plant from a friend) will grow! !😊 The trees are mixed – red oak, maple, basswood, ironwood….
I would not recognize those anyway, except the maple (up close). I am not familiar with basswood and ironwood.
The fall colors seem to jump with exited energy. Lovely pictures.

Sumac is amazing this time of year and I love the red fruit that feeds the birds in winter. Morning views like this feed the soul!
